Preschool Supervisor (maternity cover)

Rainbow Nursery are looking for an experienced room Supervisor to cover maternity leave in our preschool room.

We are looking for an inspirational practitioner and first class motivator who is looking to develop leadership skills.

Must hold NVQ Level 3 or higher in Childcare

Responsibilities and Duties

Responsibilities for this post include;

Overseeing and co-ordinating stimulating and inspiring activities for the children.
Communicating with the manager on the progression and outcomes of the children
Working as a keyperson to a small group of children and will be responsible for completing the observations and tracking their individual development.
To support team members to have specific knowledge and skills required to work effectively with the age of children in their care.
To ensure all interactions with and communications about team members are professional at all times.
To keep records of your keychildren's development and learning journals, share this with parents, carers and other key adults in the childs life and institute reviews for parents in conjunction with the nursery manager.
Ensure learning journals are updated with accurate and relevant information about children's activities and development.
Feed into supervisions, target meetings and nursery operations as deemed appropriate by the nursery manager
Attend supervisor meetings and feed appropriate information back to your teams
Support team members in seeing out any training or support when required to fulfil their roles and responsibilities
undertake and organise certain domestic jobs within the nursery e.g. preparation of snacks, cleaning of equipment and other such duties and responsibilities of an equivalent nature as may be determined from time to time by the nursery manager
Ensure all record keeping is accurate and up to date within your room, including learning journals of all the children, accident forms and any other forms/records required for the child's welfare, learning and development (this includes sleep charts and daily record sheets)
To be involved in out of hours activities e.g. training, staff meetings/parents evenings and other nursery events
To support all staff to develop their role within the team especially as key person
Support you team to ensure they are tracking, uploading stories to tapestry, gap strength analysis, improvement plans and home learning
To read and adhere to all the policies and procedures relevant to your role and the safe running of the nursery
