We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Playworker for Xtratime After School Club, with additional hours available at Timeout Holiday Club (Open Tuesdays and Thursdays).
Time Childcare is a 'Not for Profit' 'Charitable Incorporated Organisation' and is led by a Manager and a volunteer trustee team.
Time Childcare is rated 'Good' by Ofsted and we strive to continually enhance our busy setting. We are a pack away setting based in a village hall with extensive outside space. We also run Playtime Preschool, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
In this role you will be part of the Xtratime Playworker team ensuring excellent childcare, in a safe, secure and caring environment. You must be committed to safeguarding children and have an enhanced DBS check.
Duties include: collecting the children from Poringland Primary School and walking in, small adult led groups to Poringland Village Hall.
Supporting the Lead Practitioner in the day to day running of the club.
Setting up and packing away furniture and resources.
Liaising with parents/carers and other agencies
Planning and implementation of provision, delivering child centered and fun activities, following the 'Playwork Principles'.
Candidates should have a relevant childcare qualification or be willing to train to achieve this.
If you have, or are willing to develop your understanding and knowledge of the benefits of outside play and learning, that would be an advantage.
