Office Manager

Nellie’s Day Nursery is currently seeking a motivated Office Manager to join our team. This is a 30–38 hour per week role (negotiable for the right candidate) supporting the Nursery Manager and Proprietor on a day to day basis in a varied post to ensure the smooth and effective running of the nursery. This is a permanent opportunity with a salary ranging from £18,000-£25,000 pro rata, depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a customer facing role, ideally within a nursery environment but most importantly have a passion for child development.

The role will include the following:
- Liaising and building relationships with existing parents/carers and managing enquiries that come into the nursery
- Processing the monthly payroll via Sage 50 Payroll
- Preparing monthly invoices and reconciling payments
- Managing the termly funding process which includes communication with parents/carers and the Local Authority
- Proof reading policies, procedures and monthly newsletters
- Website administration

Qualifications, training and experience required:
- Confidence to communicate with current and prospective parents/carers and families, and build positive and constructive relationships with them
- Working knowledge of IT systems including the use of Customer Relationship Management systems, Sage 50 Payroll
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team as required
- Proven knowledge of Safeguarding practices (further training can be provided as required)
- Proven ability to work, record and report confidentially in line with Data Protection legislation
- Desirable 2 years’ experience of working within in a similar role
