Nursery 1:1 SEN Practitioner

£8.21 ph Part time Term Time Only 17-04-2019 No childcare qualifications
Due to newly secured SEN funding an exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic SEN 1:1 Nursery Practitioner to work within our outstanding Thorpe St. Andrew early years setting.

The position is for circa. 17 hours per week – Monday 8:00am to 12:00pm and Thursday and Friday 8:00am to 3:00pm. These hours are negotiable to some extent. The position is offered on a fixed term basis and will end on Tuesday 21st July 2020.

Hourly rate will be £8.21.

The closing date for the position is Wednesday 17th April, although please return the application form as soon as possible as interviews will be booked in as application forms are received. The start date for the role is ASAP, but at the very latest by Monday 29th April.

You will support the learning and personal development of the child to whom you are assigned, to enable them to make best use of the educational opportunities available. You will motivate and encourage the child as required by providing individual attention, reassurance and help with learning tasks as appropriate to the child’s needs. You will give positive encouragement, feedback and praise to reinforce and sustain the child’s efforts. You will be required to liaise with the SENCO, other professionals and parents, and will contribute to the planning and delivery of the child’s Individual Support Plan, whilst also consistently and effectively implementing agreed behaviour management strategies.
