Early Years Deputy Manager

The Mulberry Bush Nursery is looking to recruit an experienced Early Years Assistant Manager to work closely with the Manger in the day to day runnings of our busy nursery, We are looking for applicants with a dynamic and innovative approach to moving the nursery forwards: someone to support, implement and embed new ideas, support and train staff. You will need a minimum Level 4 qualification in Child Care and will be required to hold a valid Paediatric First Aid Certificate, Safeguarding Certificate and Food Hygiene.

We are looking for an individual who has a natural passion and love for the Early Years and who has the ability and desire to lead, motivate and engage with a friendly and enthusiastic team of stimulating and inspiring colleagues to create an exciting and unique nursery learning environment.

We care for babies from 6 months through to pre schoolers aged 5 and also after school and holiday club children.

You will be supporting the Management team to :-

Ensure the nursery is a safe environment for children, staff and families.

Ensure a child centred environment with high standards of physical, emotional, social and intellectual education and care for all children in the Nursery

Ensure smooth running of the day to day business and people management of the Nursery

Supervise, support and lead the professional development of Nursery staff in regards to the standards of quality and practices required by EYFS and Ofsted and to strive to become a flagship of good practice for the sector

To ensure a sustainable Nursery business through both knowledge and understanding of the sector and the effective management of finances and staffing ratios in relation to the occupancy levels

To be responsible for the administrative and marketing requirements of the Nursery through a variety of resources, media and social media.

Implement and adhere to all policies and procedures and all legal and statutory guidance.

We are looking for an organised person with strong ICT skills.

SENCO knowledge, experience and qualifications would also be a benefit but not essential.

We are looking for applicants to work 30 - 40 hours a week, 4 to 4.5 days a week, between the hours of 7.45am and 6.15pm.
