Deputy Manager

Negotiable Full time All Year 31-08-2021 Level 3 childcare qualification
We are looking for someone with experience of being a Deputy Manager, however we would definitely consider someone who has been in a lead role for a few years looking to take the next step in their career. The role is 40 hours per week in 8 hours shifts, 5 days per week.

We are looking for an outstanding practitioner and role model with:
• A positive, friendly can-do attitude
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong computer skills – experience using nursery management software ideal
• Ability to lead and effectively manage an experienced team of staff
• Detailed working knowledge of the EYFS and the planning skills to ensure the effective delivery of this curriculum to young children
• Ability to lead and inspire fellow practitioners by example

You will be required to:
• Ensure all children are cared for in a safe, comforting and happy environment
• Liaise with parents daily about their child’s development, activities and day-to-day life at the nursery
• Deputise for the Nursery Manager and be responsible for the day to day running of the nursery
• Complete staff rotas for the nursery, manage nursery occupancy amongst other daily administrative tasks
• Ensure that the nursery complies with all the statutory regulations to the highest standard
• Plan and evaluate appropriate learning activities on a weekly basis with the staff team for the children
