We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dedicated and friendly team in one of our brand new Deputy Manager positions. We are looking for people with an enthusiastic approach to working with children.

The successful candidate will support the Manager with the day-to-day running of the setting and stand in for the Manager when required. They will take a lead role in the provision of outdoor learning so a passion for this and an appreciation of the benefits for children are essential. They will also be a key person for a small group of children.

The essential criteria for this role are:
1. Willingness to learn and undertake further training.
2. Level 3 early years education and childcare qualification or equivalent.
3. Previous experience of working with young children.
4. Sound knowledge of child development from birth to five years.
5. Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
6. Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
7. Good communication skills.
8. An understanding of play-based approaches to children’s learning and development.
9. The ability to lead a team
10. A commitment to continuously promote a culture of safeguarding.
11. A commitment to equal opportunities.
12. A commitment to working effectively with young children and families.
13. A friendly and flexible approach at work which facilitates the development of effective relationships.

Hours of work: Full time or Part time (some flexibility available) 8.30am – 3.45pm. Term time only.
£10.52 per hour
