Pre-school Deputy Leader – Term Time Position
Buttercups preschool in North Runcton has an exciting opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to support our leadership team.

Our thriving preschool provides childcare for 2 to 4 year olds during term time and is in a beautiful rural village setting. It has been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in 2019 and there is an existing experienced and effective team who are excited to welcome a new team member to maintain our high standards.
Requirements:
• Minimum NVQ Level 3 Childcare and Early Years Education
• Full knowledge of the EYFS
• Fully trained SENCO (desirable)
• 3 years’ experience within a pre-school environment
• Flexibility to work in a changing environment
• Willingness to learn new skills and take responsibility
Duties to include:
• Assisting the Pre-school Leader with the managing and maintaining of a high standard of care and education for all children in the setting.
• Being able to run the setting in the Leader’s absence i.e. every Friday and during training and illness etc.
• Assisting with staff management and all administration.
• Being responsible for all areas of the business which relate to health and safety and first aid.
• Assisting with the review and maintenance of a continuous improvement/action plan for the Group.
• Taking part in all planning for the Group.
• Acting as a Key Person to a specific number of named children.

Salary - £9.22 per hour
Buttercups provide care for children from 2 years old to school age, term time only for the following hours;
08:30 to 15:30 Monday, Tuesday and Friday and
08:30 to 12:30 Wednesday and Thursday.
Working hours include a half an hour added to the beginning and the end of the day for unpacking and packing away, which requires an 8am start.
From the setting we are able to take the children for walks to observe nature and meet the local horses and other animals kept by our neighbours. We also have a regular schedule of visitors which includes a ‘music man’, dental nurse and veterinary nurse. This all helps to broaden the children’s education and experience.
