Childerwood Nursery is family run business in the Drayton area in the locality of Norwich, offering both term and non-term sessions between the hours of 7.30am – 17.30pm, Monday to Friday for children between the ages of 24 months to 60 months, we have a reputation for providing "inspirational" child care.

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Nursery Apprentice. If you have a big smile with a nurturing and caring personality, are organised, patient and hardworking with a “can do” attitude, you are probably exactly what we are looking for to join our wonderful hard working team.

Duties will include:
• Building positive relationships with the children, families, and colleagues
• Ensuring that each child’s wellbeing is met and that they thrive in a safe environment.
• Safeguarding all children in our care.
• Observing, monitoring, and engaging in children’s play activities linked to the EYFS.
• Learning how to provide high quality childcare to our children.
• Assisting in serving food to children, ensuring special dietary requirements are met.
• To be a positive role model for all children and to represent our Pre-school in a positive manner.
• To contribute to and implement all Pre-school policies and procedures.
• To assist with the planning of the curriculum.
• To help with set up the room for the daily programme and help tidy away at the end of the session.


The role is offered on a 12-24-month fixed term contract to allow you to complete either a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship. The apprenticeship training will be arranged and provided by City Collage Norwich.

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and requires a Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS).
