Applicants are invited to apply for the position of Nursery Assistant.
Drayton Church Nursery is a charity committee run Nursery for 2¼ – 5 year olds based in the Infant School. We have 2 rooms taking 22 children per session, providing places for approximately 72 children overall. You will be based in one of the rooms with two other assistants working for the room supervisor.
The role of Nursery Assistant is to assist in providing a stimulating and varied programme of activities while ensuring all children have access to a happy and safe environment. You will be expected to be a keyperson and undertake observations and record keeping for your key children to ensure their achievements are effectively and regularly assessed.

NVQ level 2 is essential with level 3, or working towards it, a distinct advantage. Candidates must have a sound knowledge of the EYFS and Child Protection. Paediatric First Aid & Food Hygiene certificates would also be an advantage as would experience of SEN and working in a committee run setting.
Nursery hours will be :-
Mondays (8.45am-3.15pm),
Wednesdays (8.45am – 1.15pm),
Thursdays (8.45am-12.15pm
& Fridays (8.45am-12.15pm),
adding up to 17.5 hours plus OBs time per week, term time only.
Rate of pay is £6.76 (Level 2) - £7.04 (Level 3) per hour plus holiday pay.
